Mae adroddiad ‘Gwerth Cymreictod’ wedi bod yn olrhain agweddau defnyddwyr ers nifer o flynyddoedd ac mae’n dangos bod awydd sylfaenol cryf am fwyd a diod o Gymru yng Nghymru, gydag wyth o bob deg o’r ymatebwyr yn dweud y byddent yn dewis cynhyrchion tebyg o Gymru yn hytrach na chynhyrchion sy’n tarddu o wledydd eraill, a byddai bron i ddwy ran o dair yn talu mwy am gynhyrchion o Gymru, ffigur sydd wedi cynyddu’n aruthrol o’i gymharu â 44 y cant yn 2017.

Yn ogystal, mae cyfran sylweddol yn dewis manwerthwyr neu leoliadau sy’n gysylltiedig â bwyd o leiaf yn rhannol ar sail a oes detholiad da o gynhyrchion o Gymru ar gael, gyda ‘Chymreictod’ yn cynnwys ystod eang o ystyron cadarnhaol, fel ‘Mwy Ffres’, ‘Blas Gwell’, ‘Ansawdd Gwell’, ‘Cynaliadwy’ a ‘Naturiol’.

Ond nid yw'r teimladau hyn wedi'u cyfyngu i Gymru yn unig, gyda siopwyr yn Lloegr hefyd â chanfyddiad cadarnhaol o frandiau â tharddiad, ac yn ystyried cynnyrch Cymru â’r un parch â phobl Cymru, sy’n tanlinellu gwerth brandiau o darddiad Cymreig.
